🧱 Voices Silenced: Padma’s Battle with the Sable Glen HOA and Heritage Property Management

When Padma reached out to me on Nextdoor, I was immediately struck by the sincerity and exhaustion in her voice. A homeowner in the Sable Glen subdivision, Padma has endured years of what she describes as manipulation, exclusion, and financial mismanagement by her HOA and its management company, Heritage Property Management Services Inc.
She’s not alone—but like many, she feels like she is.
Despite putting her name forward repeatedly to serve on the HOA board, Padma has been consistently dismissed. Each time, she’s told there wasn’t a quorum—yet somehow others with personal connections to attorneys have been appointed instead. When she questioned this, leadership became evasive. And the moment she started advocating more openly? Elections were voided. Meetings canceled. Financial documents withheld.
📉 No Financial Transparency
Padma and other homeowners have never received regular financial statements. HOA costs have risen, yet there’s no explanation. She highlights unexplained expenses like:
$55,000+ for lawn care even during road construction
$10,000 for pressure washing when no sidewalks or homes were cleaned
Vague charges for tree removal—without any trees being cut
Selective Enforcement and Retaliation
When Padma questioned the inflated fees and asked for board meetings to discuss solutions, her requests were denied. Instead, she was met with vague policies and decisions made behind closed doors.
Homeowners are told elections are void due to lack of quorum—but bylaws don’t require quorum for elections since board service is voluntary. And when homeowners requested in-person meetings to help meet quorum, the board refused—claiming they were afraid. Yet, they're not afraid to spend HOA money on pool parties.
🛑 Bylaw Violations
🛑 Bylaw Violations
The board has operated with only one member—violating the rule that mandates a minimum of three
Quorum claims are used to block elections but not to stop meetings or spending decisions
Financial documents are hidden, and voices are silenced
Padma has fought for change, even documenting her experience in a powerful YouTube video:
🔔 Why This Matters
HOAs were created to support and protect homeowners—not suppress them. Padma’s experience is a textbook example of selective enforcement and gatekeeping. We need transparency, regulation, and reform.
If you’ve had similar issues in your community, I want to hear from you. It’s time to amplify homeowner voices and demand accountability.

I live in Magnolia Walk Phase III. We have a board that the community would like to unseat. However, the law firm, Lazega & Johnson https://ljlaw.com/ along with Heritage Property Management Company are working in concert to keep that from happening. More than once we have voted to rid ourselves of the present board to no avail. There is absolutely no transparency on this board. https://ljlaw.com/
